Baseball Recap: Quantico Warriors vs. Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets
Quantico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Yellow Jackets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
C Acevedo was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, G Wolfenbarker was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Quantico's record is now 2-7. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
