Basketball Recap: Calvert Comes Up Short

Calvert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-30 heartbreaker at the hands of the Round Top-Carmine Cubs. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Calvert's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Round Top-Carmine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-16.

Coming up, Calvert won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dime Box at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Round Top-Carmine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
