Basketball Recap: Windham Bombers vs. St. John Fighting Herald
Windham lost to St. John back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bombers opened the new year with a less-than-successful 40-27 loss to the Fighting Herald.
St. John got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marissa Arrieta-Williams out in front who posted eight points in addition to 12 boards and five blocks. Arrieta-Williams has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Riley Hatfield, who earned 15 points and four steals.
Windham dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. John, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Windham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-34 loss against Mathews on the 8th. As for St. John, they have also already played their next matchup, a 60-12 defeat against Maplewood on the 8th.
