Viera and Dwyer squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Viera had to settle for second. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Viera saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Vogel, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Viera's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Dwyer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

While Viera had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
