Baseball Game Preview: Wetumka Chieftains vs. Drumright Tornadoes

The Wetumka Chieftains will challenge the Drumright Tornadoes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Wetumka came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to Quinton.

Dwayne Lowe was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Drumright and Mounds, and Mounds kept the tradition alive. The Tornadoes took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles on Thursday. Having lost for the first time this season, Drumright fell to 3-1. As for Wetumka, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
