The Elkhorn Antlers will square off against the Norris Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Elkhorn: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Norris has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
Elkhorn is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Elkhorn North, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Elkhorn was ranked 25th). The Antlers came out on top against Elkhorn North by a score of 8-5 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Antlers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Beau Twohig was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Elkhorn is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 3-6 otherwise. Twohig was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elliot Beister, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Bostin Oster was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Elkhorn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Norris made easy work of Blair on Friday and carried off a 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Eli Starner looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Norris got a massive performance out of Crew Moeller, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Fredenburg, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Norris' victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Elkhorn, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Elkhorn couldn't quite get it done against Norris when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Will the Antlers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
