Softball Recap: Nettleton Tigers vs. East Webster Wolverines

On Thursday, it was a hard-fought game, but the Nettleton Tigers had to settle for a 6-5 defeat against the East Webster Wolverines. Nettleton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caroline Riley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

On East Webster's side, Kambry Reed was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Larkin Conner, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Nettleton's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for East Webster, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.

Nettleton will head out on the road to take on Hatley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hatley will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Nettleton surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Webster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aberdeen at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Aberdeen hasn't scored more than two runs for 12 games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.
