Softball Recap: Eunice Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Eunice finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They came up short against the Loving Falcons, falling 22-1. The Cardinals have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Eunice saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Williams has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Loving, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Falcons beat Eunice by a score of 12-0 on Tuesday.
