Volleyball Recap: Patrick Henry Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Patrick Henry unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westview Wolverines. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Patriots haven't been shut out since back in March.

When it comes to explaining why Patrick Henry lost, don't look at Sylas Doan. Despite the final result, he had 19 assists. Doan is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 37 games he's played dating back to last season.

Patrick Henry's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Westview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-16 record this season.

Patrick Henry will square off against Madison at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westview, they will challenge Canyon Crest Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their 36th straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
