East Aurora extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 6-5. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Iroquois Chiefs, sneaking past 12-10. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 7-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Ross Rozanski was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He has become a key player for East Aurora: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Jericho Ciamaga was another key player, going 1-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: East Aurora kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.
As for Iroquois, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since May 29, 2025.
On Iroquois' side, Austin Reed was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Reed has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Camdon Biersbach made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Fisher, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Iroquois has already played their next matchup (against Orchard Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Aurora will be paying especially close attention to the Chiefs' game: after the Chiefs face off against Depew, they'll take on East Aurora again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
