After a string of four wins, Clayton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Parkway South Patriots, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-13.

Hanna Maddock paced Clayton's offense, picking up nine kills. Maddock got some help from Charlotte Oliver and her 15 assists. Bela Infante controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Parkway South was led to victory by Lily Hennekes and Lucy Wright. Hennekes had 17 digs and one assist, while Wright had 14 assists and three digs.

Clayton's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-6. As for Parkway South, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5-2.

Clayton has already played their next contest (against Burroughs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Parkway South, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Lindbergh on the 3rd.
