Softball Recap: Basha Comes Up Short

Basha managed to slip by Hamilton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears lost 13-2 to the Huskies on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered since March 17th.

Basha saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Bragg, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Basha's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 17-5. As for Hamilton, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season.

Basha will take on Horizon at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.21 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hamilton, they will face off against Chandler at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
