Soccer Game Preview: Del Oro vs. Granite Bay

The Del Oro Golden Eagles will take on the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Del Oro's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Del Oro's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They skirted past Folsom 1-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Granite Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Whitney on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Grizzlies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Wildcats are ranked 46th).

Del Oro now has a winning record of 7-6-5. As for Granite Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-5.
