Basketball Game Preview: Oak Mountain Eagles vs. Vestavia Hills Rebels

Oak Mountain is 2-8 against Vestavia Hills since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Oak Mountain Eagles will head out to challenge the Vestavia Hills Rebels at 7:00 p.m.

Oak Mountain is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Hoover, who was ranked first at the time (Oak Mountain was ranked 11th). Oak Mountain had to suffer through a 79-41 loss at the hands of Hoover. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Vestavia Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 53-43 win over Hewitt-Trussville on Thursday.

Oak Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Vestavia Hills, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Oak Mountain might still be hurting after the 69-45 loss they got from Vestavia Hills in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Oak Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
