Baseball Recap: 11 Straight Home Wins for Boyle County

Boyle County waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Wayne County Cardinals 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for the Rebels as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Caeden Patterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kyler Claunch was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Wayne County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15.
