Softball Recap: Mount Vernon Majors vs. Lewis Lancers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Osbourn Park, Mount Vernon was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Lewis Lancers. The win continues a trend for the Majors in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.

Lily Grimsley was excellent, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ella Lytkowski, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Mount Vernon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis only posted an OBP of .341.
