While losing is never fun, Calvary Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Coral Springs Charter is ranked 192nd).
Calvary Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Staples, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Taryn Wakefield, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Calvary Christian Academy bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Coral Springs Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Calvary Christian Academy will be playing at home against Gulliver Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coral Springs Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against North Broward Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Broward Prep will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
