Basketball Recap: Amelia Arsenault's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tuscaloosa Home Educators over North River Christian

Tuscaloosa Home Educators came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the North River Christian Chargers by a score of 33-30 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Chargers are ranked 99th).

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amelia Arsenault, who posted 12 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Layken Horton, who earned five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators dropped their record down to 6-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for North River Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-35 victory against Starkville Christian on the 20th. As for North River Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-38 defeat against Evangel Christian on the 20th.
