Santa Monica came out on top against Inglewood on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 17-run second inning. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Sentinels. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kaveh Naini looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jaxson Ehlers was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Gavin Kirtley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Santa Monica was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Santa Monica has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Inglewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
