Baseball Recap: Point Arena Drops Highest Score of Season Against Potter Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Point Arena). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Potter Valley Bearcats a 22-0 shutout on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Pirates with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Point Arena and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Potter Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Point Arena will venture away from home to square off against Victory Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Potter Valley, they will head out to challenge Grace Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight.
