Volleyball Game Preview: Avon Lake Shoremen vs. Avon Eagles

The Avon Lake Shoremen will head out to face off against the Avon Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Avon Lake came up short against Steele on Monday, falling 3-0. The Shoremen haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Avon Lake took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-23.

Avon not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 3-0). They blew past North 3-0.

Avon never let North on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-20.

Avon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Avon Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
