Softball Recap: Exeter-West Greenwich Takes a Loss

Exeter-West Greenwich couldn't beat Cranston East on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Scarlet Knights came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 20-5. The Scarlet Knights haven't had much luck with the Thunderbolts recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Exeter-West Greenwich's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Cranston East, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Exeter-West Greenwich will head out to take on Davies Career & Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cranston East, they will square off against Mt. Hope at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.77 runs per game on average), something the Thunderbolts will no doubt try to take advantage of.
