Basketball Game Preview: Fenton Tigers vs. Kearsley Hornets

The Fenton Tigers will face off against the Kearsley Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fenton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Kearsley likes a good challenge.

Fenton is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Holly on Saturday. Fenton took a hard 80-66 fall against Holly. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bronchos 17-13 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Kearsley strolled past Swartz Creek with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Kearsley's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for Fenton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
