Basketball Recap: Caney Creek Takes a Loss

Caney Creek managed to keep up with The Woodlands until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Caney Creek Panthers lost 61-35 to The Woodlands Highlanders. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Caney Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for The Woodlands, they moved to 12-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cleveland the next time they take the court. Caney Creek will host Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while The Woodlands will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
