Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Justice Ahiafor and Sean Ambuul Lead St. Joseph Academy to Victory

St. Joseph Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Gompers Prep Academy on Saturday. St. Joseph Academy had just enough and edged out Gompers Prep Academy 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Leading St. Joseph Academy to victory were Sean Ambuul and Justice Ahiafor. Ambuul had 13 assists and two aces, while Ahiafor had seven kills and three blocks. The dominant performance also gave Ambuul a new career-high in kills (four).

The win got St. Joseph Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Gompers Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

St. Joseph Academy and Gompers Prep Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time St. Joseph Academy sees the court they'll take on Escondido Adventist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Gompers Prep Academy, their break will end when they face Horizon Prep at 3:00 p.m. on April 1.
