Baseball Recap: Exeter Township's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Exeter Township has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They fell 11-6 to the Wilson Bulldogs. The Eagles have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Brenton Feathers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Jake Franek also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Exeter Township fell to 3-1. As for Wilson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Exeter Township will head out to square off against J.P. McCaskey at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Exeter Township is facing J.P. McCaskey at the right time seeing as J.P. McCaskey is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wilson, they will head out on the road to challenge North Penn at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. North Penn's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Wilson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
