Recap: Eisenhower Tigers vs. Maize Eagles

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Eisenhower Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against Maize as Eisenhower made off with a 35-14 win. Eisenhower might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eisenhower to victory, but perhaps none more so than Derek Morgan, who threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Dickman, who rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns.

Although Maize took the loss, they still got scores from Bryson Hayes and Elijah Cross.

Eisenhower pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points per game. As for Maize, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-6.

Eisenhower will head out on the road to face off against Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kapaun Mt. Carmel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 541 points over their last 11 games. Maize does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
