Priory extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They blew past the Averroes Falcon 87-30. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Falcon are ranked 638th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Teddy Xanthopoulos had a dynamite game, shooting 67% from the field to rack up 19 points and seven boards. The last time his shooting accuracy was this high was back in January. Kasten Eggers was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 11 points along with six assists and four steals.

Priory was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Averroes only posted eight.

As for Averroes, they now have a losing record of 2-3. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Averroes' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Naeem Rivers, who shot 42% from the field en route to 10 points, and Amin Khairzada, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayf Sweilem, who put up eight points.

Priory wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 86-35 win against Lower Lake on the 5th. As for Averroes, they have also already played their next contest, an 82-73 loss against Argonaut on the 5th.
