Recap: Wyalusing Valley Rams vs. Towanda Black Knights
Even though The Wyalusing Valley Rams have not done well against the Towanda Black Knights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Wyalusing Valley won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Towanda 15-14. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wyalusing Valley.
When it comes to explaining why Towanda lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rylie Vanderpool. Despite the final result, he rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns.
Wyalusing Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Towanda, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyalusing Valley will square off against Mount Carmel at 2:00 p.m. on November 4th. Mount Carmel knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Wyalusing Valley likes a good challenge. As for Towanda, they will head out on the road to face off against Line Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Line Mountain will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
