Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martin). They put the hurt on the Galesburg-Augusta Rams with a sharp 13-2 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Clippers with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Martin and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Galesburg-Augusta, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Martin will venture away from home to face off against Hackett Catholic Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Irish have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
