 In what's become a running theme this season, Lakeland gave their fans yet another huge  win in Saturday's  second game. They put the hurt on the Angola Hornets with a sharp  13-5 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Lakeland.
  Cole Frost was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.  Taylor Wells was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 On Angola's side, they got a good showing from  Brady Warren, who   tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and six unearned) runs off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  Kenny Konrad made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Payton Fulton, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Lakeland's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.4 runs per game. As for Angola, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 Lakeland will play host again  on Monday to welcome Westview, where first pitch is scheduled  at 5:30  p.m. Westview is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.3  runs per game  this season. As for Angola, they are on the road again  on Tuesday to play Fremont at 5:30  p.m.
