Softball Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short

The Bethel Jaguars came up short against the Justin-Siena Braves on Monday, falling 25-9. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mia Espinoza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI. Dakari Washington was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Justin-Siena, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Looking ahead, Bethel will square off against Salesian College Preparatory at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pride have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Justin-Siena, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against American Canyon at 4:00 p.m.
