Monona Grove is 0-5 against Beaver Dam since May of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Silver Eagles will host the Golden Beavers at 5:00 p.m. Monona Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Monona Grove is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Poynette on Saturday. They came up short against the Pumas, falling 12-1. The matchup marked the Silver Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Monona Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giovanina DaWalt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Beaver Dam never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against West Bend West on Monday. They skirted past the Spartans 12-10.

Aaliyah Linzenmeyer looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Joy Mielke was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Damon, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Beaver Dam's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-3. As for Monona Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Monona Grove hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. However, it's not like Beaver Dam struggles in that department as they've averaged .377. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Monona Grove might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Beaver Dam in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Silver Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
