Recap: Orrick Bearcats vs. Wellington-Napoleon Tigers

After flying high against the Sweet Springs Greyhounds last Tuesday, the Orrick Bearcats came back down to earth. Orrick was outmatched by Wellington-Napoleon on the road and fell 63-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Orrick has scored all season.

It was another big night for Trotter Hughes, who scored 21 points along with seven steals for Wellington-Napoleon. Hughes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Haden Terrill was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.

Orrick dropped their record down to 6-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Orrick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-38 defeat vs. Carrollton on the 10th. Wellington-Napoleon will head out on the road to take on Lone Jack at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
