Knox Central has gone 4-0 against McCreary Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. Knox Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully McCreary Central likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Knox Central challenged Buckhorn on Friday. Knox Central took their contest with ease, bagging an 80-43 win over Buckhorn. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Wildcats are ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, McCreary Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Southwestern by a score of 60-57.

Knox Central pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.7 points per game. As for McCreary Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything went Knox Central's way against McCreary Central in their previous meeting back in February, as Knox Central made off with an 84-61 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Knox Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
