Basketball Recap: Science Park Comes Up Short

Science Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. The game between them and the Millburn Millers didn't end well, with the Science Park Chargers falling 54-39. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Millers are ranked 131st).

Leading Millburn to victory were Chace Redler and Chase Plotkin. Redler dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards, while Plotkin went 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Redler has scored at least a third of Millburn's points.

Science Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Millburn, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Science Park will head out to square off against Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millburn, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Star Academy at 4:00 p.m.
