Recap: Odyssey Charter School Titans vs. Bayside Bears
The Odyssey Charter School Titans lost against the Bayside Bears back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Odyssey Charter School fell 46-33 to Bayside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Odyssey Charter School has scored all season.
Odyssey Charter School's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Malik Brown, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds, and Jamale Long who scored nine points along with five assists. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ephram Welsh, who scored two points along with two steals and two blocks.
Odyssey Charter School bumped their record down to 5-7 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bayside, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Odyssey Charter School will head out on the road to challenge Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pineapple Cove Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday. As for Bayside, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
