Baseball Recap: Youngsville Eagles vs. North Clarion Wolves

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Youngsville). Everything went their way against the North Clarion Wolves on Friday as they made off with a 16-1 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

James Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Youngsville got a big performance out of Cole Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Bryce Spinks also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
