Cathedral Prep (Erie, Pa.) bested
Central Tech (Erie, Pa.) 41-14 on the strength of
Billy Fessler, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a
Jake DeHart touchdown run in the first quarter, the Ramblers were up 29-6 at the half.
Cathedral Prep grew its lead to 30 points entering the fourth quarter. CP scored once in the quarter on a Fessler touchdown pass to DeHart.
With the win the Ramblers extended their winning streak to eight games. Cathedral Prep defeated St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute 56-7 last week.
Cathedral Prep came into the game allowing 10.3 points per game.
CP also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 61-19.
The loss comes after Central Tech defeated Harbor Creek 56-7 last week.
In a District 10 Region 6 AAA/AAAA game next week Central Tech (3-5) takes on General McLane, and Cathedral Prep (8-0) will go up against East also in a District 10 Region 6 AAA/AAAA game.
