The Gorham Fayette Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Holgate Tigers at 11:00 a.m. Holgate took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gorham Fayette, who comes in off a win.

Gorham Fayette is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Stryker on Wednesday.

Caden Leininger made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Lavinder, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. Mason Leininger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Holgate lost 14-1 to Edgerton on Friday.

Holgate's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Gorham Fayette, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
