Basketball Recap: Lanphier Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

After losing to Glenwood the last time they met, Lanphier decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lanphier Lions walked away with a 58-49 victory over the Glenwood Titans on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Lanphier is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Glenwood, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-7.

Lanphier will welcome Normal University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lanphier knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Normal University likes a good challenge. As for Glenwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Glenwood surely won't give up without a fight.
