Baseball Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Spartans vs. Pueblo East Eagles

The Thomas Jefferson Spartans are taking a road trip to challenge the Pueblo East Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Pueblo East took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Thomas Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

Thomas Jefferson came out on top against Denver North on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Spartans took their game against the Vikings 8-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Noah Klein was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Pueblo East didn't have quite enough to beat Pueblo Central on Tuesday and fell 4-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pueblo East's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Thomas Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

Thomas Jefferson took their win against Pueblo East in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
