Preview: Harvey Red Raiders vs. Wickliffe Blue Devils
The Harvey Red Raiders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wickliffe Blue Devils at 6:45 p.m. on December 22nd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Harvey came up short against Geneva and fell 57-48. Harvey has not had much luck with Geneva recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Braylon Johnson, who scored 11 points. Armani Hall was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Harvey were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Wickliffe, who are still winless after their fifth match. They lost to Kirtland at home by a decisive 61-47 margin on Wednesday.
Harvey's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Wickliffe, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Harvey was able to grind out a solid win over Wickliffe in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 68-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harvey since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
