Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Lions vs. Rogers Eagles

Franklin has gone a perfect 9-0 against Rogers recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Franklin Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Rogers Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Franklin sitting on 14 straight wins and Rogers on five.

It was a proper cat-fight when Franklin faced off against Thrall on Friday. Franklin claimed a resounding 69-36 victory over Thrall. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Rogers hadn't done well against Little River Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Rogers came out on top in a nail-biter against Little River Academy, sneaking past 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since January 5, 2024.

Franklin pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Rogers, their record is now 15-11.

Everything came up roses for Franklin against Rogers when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 71-43 win.
