Softball Recap: Gaston Comes Up Short

Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 16-1 to the Knappa Loggers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Loggers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 on Tuesday.

Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Knappa, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gaston will square off against Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Knappa, they will venture away from home to square off against Vernonia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Knappa is facing Vernonia at the right time seeing as Vernonia is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
