Basketball Recap: Southwest Falls Short of Northeast in the Playoffs

Southwest and Northeast squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Southwest had to settle for second. They came up short against the Northeast Raiders, falling 55-34. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured 13 losses in a row.

Jada Smith was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 16 to rack up 24 points and four steals for Northeast. What's more, Smith also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Indiasia Belll, who posted four points along with five assists and four steals.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Northeast, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northeast, they have already played their next contest, a 58-27 loss against Dodge County on the 11th.
