Softball Recap: Bayfront Charter Takes a Loss

After flying high against San Diego Academy on Tuesday, Bayfront Charter came back down to earth. The Sharks came up short against the Bonsall Legionnaires on Thursday, falling 14-4. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Legionnaires apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bayfront Charter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Carbajal, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI. Another was Ahloni Garcia, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

Bayfront Charter's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Bonsall, their record now sits at 12-6.

While Bayfront Charter had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
