Softball Recap: Mars Takes a Loss

Mars was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Fayette Lions, falling 20-3. The Fightin' Planets were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Abby Robinson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Mars' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for South Fayette, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mars will venture away from home to take on Plum at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Fayette, they will take on Avonworth at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
