Volleyball Recap: University Liggett's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

University Liggett had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bishop Foley Ventures with a sharp 3-0 win. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Ventures walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2020.

University Liggett got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 31-29, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Bishop Foley still got an impressive performance from Abbey Jones, who had 14 assists and seven digs. Jones has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played. Mary Maltese was another key player, getting 15 assists and three digs.

University Liggett's win bumped their record up to 8-5-2. As for Bishop Foley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Liggett will welcome Shrine Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Foley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Everest Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
