Baseball Game Preview: Bristol Central Rams vs. Northwest Catholic Lions

The Bristol Central Rams will head out on the road to take on the Northwest Catholic Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Bristol Central is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Bristol Central and Farmington have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Rams walked away with a 6-3 victory over the River Hawks.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Northwest Catholic ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Conard, sneaking past 10-9. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mason Dolch was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Gavin George, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Bristol Central's record now sits at 4-5. As for Northwest Catholic, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7.
